Hannah and I met through Cottonwood Gulch several years ago. As Gulch things go, we spent time singing around campfires and doing jobs that needed to be done. She and I bonded over radio pretty early on and I was so inspired by her commitment to the craft. My favorite memory of Hannah is in August 2017 when we’d just finished the summer season. After being out of service for most of the summer, we quickly learned about the upcoming solar eclipse and spontaneously decided to north to Glendo, Wyoming so we could see totality. Those 2+ minutes of totality were truly something else. Hannah, equally dedicated to adventure and work, turned around right after the eclipse to drive the many hours back to Santa Fe to make her shift at the station the next morning.
